The year is 1973, and Atlanta faces a new era of drastic political and social change when the city elects its first African-American mayor Maynard Jackson. Set in a living room the night before Jackson's big win, What I Learned in Paris follows the intricate romantic triangles of Jackson's campaign party. After Evie has a life-changing experience in Paris, she is prompted to go through with her divorce and pursue her ex. But while Evie longs for an old flame, she fails to see that attorney associate John is secretly in love with her. Mixing politics with passion, this unlikely romantic comedy weaves a dazzling urban love story full of heart and laughs at Chicago's Athenaeum Theatre Studio Three.
