About Atlanta Martial Art Center
The Atlanta Martial Art Center teaches myriad martial arts, including those conceived by the likes of Bruce Lee and Brazil's famed Gracie family. The head instructor, Todd Williams, combines them into cohesive lessons that teach jeet kune do, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, combat-submission wrestling, filipino kali, and youth mixed martial arts. This diversity stems from Todd's own journey to black belt under his master, Sifu Alan Baker. Baker boasts quite a résumé, including induction into the WHFSC International Martial Arts Hall of Fame and stints training security and SWAT teams.
The school adheres to a practical martial-arts philosophy, with classes focusing on self-defense techniques no matter what style they're conducted in. Students learn practical moves to protect themselves or loved ones from harm, learning to fend off unarmed attackers as well as people armed with weapons or dangerously cushy focus pads.
