Web your toes and gill your lungs with today's side deal: for $20, you get a "Discover Scuba" session at Atlanta Scuba and Swim Centers in Kennesaw, a $50 value. This hour-long course introduces landlubbers to the joy of weightless underwater exploration.
The class takes place in the comforts of an 86-degree pool where threats of narwhal and merman attacks are minimized. Prospective divers will receive basic instruction of the equipment and standard gear associated with scuba from a probable descendent of Jacques Cousteau. Combined, the staff has more than 100 years of training experience. They'll teach you how to strap on the getup and how to successfully function once neatly tucked inside. This is not a certification program, but a primer to get the flippers wet. Participants must sign a waver, be at least 10 years old, and bring a swimsuit. Bring your own towel, but all other necessary equipment will be provided. If you are thirsty for more underwater breathing and decide to go for your scuba certification, sign up through Atlanta Scuba and Swim Centers and receive a $50 credit toward class fees.

Atlanta Scuba and Swim Centers
Atlanta Scuba and Swim Centers' enthusiastic team of instructors and dive masters infuses prospective divers with their passion for the life aquatic, teaching students of all ages to snorkel, scuba, and swim. To energize those on the fence about diving, the team offers a no-pressure introductory Discover Scuba experience, which teaches participants the basics and gives them the chance to breathe underwater to find out if scuba's for them. For those who know they want to be active divers, experienced instructors can put them through the watery hoops with open-water dives, during which students explore their underwater surroundings, swim with sea turtles and manatees, and help lost clownfish find their tiny clownfish cars. The team arranges for diving charters to locales teeming with aquatic life, such as the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas and Bonaire.
The squad also instructs kids how to swim. With underwater games and a fun environment, children as young as 7 months build swimming strength and coordination. As they learn, students gradually ascend the ranks to more challenging classes that teach skills ranging from basic horizontal swimming to traditional racing techniques such as the breaststroke and flip turns.
