Eating while riding horseback was pioneered by the efficient Mongols, who also adjusted to reading, receiving haircuts, and filling out their taxes atop their four-legged mobiles. Enjoy the convenience of chairs and tables with today’s Groupon to Atlas Global Bistro in the Brush Park District.

Expose a sheltered palate to a variety of international cuisine inside Atlas' intimate dining room. Open eyes and mouths devour views of the Detroit skyline alongside bites of Indiana duck leg confit and Malaysian braised korabuta pork. Housed inside the historic Addison Building, Atlas' interior pairs exposed brick with modern amenities, much like a mustachioed railroad baron furnishing his private train car with numerous iPads. All lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch menus change seasonally and are served with a variety of cocktails and wines, which come in white, red, and bubbly.

Atlas Global Bistro has a four-star average from Yelpers, a 4.5-star average from Citysearchers, a 4.3-star average from OpenTable users, and an average of 3.5 owl eyes from TripAdvisors:

Atlas Global

High ceilings, exposed brick, and wooden floors inside a pre-war building set the stage for fancy dinners and power lunches at Atlas Global, where huge windows provide a great view of downtown or a quick and dramatic escape route. Their global menu lets diners experience a variety of cuisines in one sitting with plates of thai grilled shrimp, wild-caught Atlantic salmon with sweet-pea coulis, and braised lamb shank with a cumin crust.

Customer Reviews

Great staff and creative menu
Samir N. · February 11, 2013
Very fine food, original dishes. Friendly service. This is a gem, not mentioned as frequently as it should be. Midtown location is quite convenient to Orchestra Hall, Comerica Park, Fox or Fisher Theaters, etc. We go there when we want seriously good food, as well designed and executed as we know of in Detroit.

The unique menu - sometimes it's difficult to understand what things are, but the food is always terrific.
