About Atwater Brewery

The founders of Atwater Brewery were inspired by Detroit's beer-making history and set out to bring back the Bohemian-style lager that used to be produced by Stroh’s Brewing Company in the 1800s. With a purchase of German brewing equipment, the brewery opened in 1997. Since then the brewery expanded, opening new locations and shipping their products all over the country and internationally.

  • Atwater Lager is a traditional brew and a tribute to its German roots, featuring Hersbrucker hops which give it a lightly floral aroma.
  • Dirty Blonde is a crisp, refreshing wheat ale, with a coriander and crushed orange peel aroma.
  • Vanilla Java Porter is an English-style porter, mixing traditional and contemporary brewing techniques, which results in a dark, burnt flavor.
