Austin Children’s Theater’s team of dedicated instructors nurtures the natural talents of creative kids who are eager to explore musical, dramatic, and European theater. The Anyone Can Act class teaches young thespians to build confidence on stage through a series of improvisation, monologue, and scene exercises. Preschool students focus on fun theater games, storytelling, and crafts, and older students get an opportunity to expand their repertoire with auditioning tips and material that they can practice on their parents and lingering imaginary friends. Mini artistic visionaries strike an expressive pose while dancing and practicing stage combat and stunts during the Movement and Mime classes. Yoga and music help conjure up conversations with nonverbal communication such as Morse-code eye blinks and smoke signals.

Austin Children Theater’s classes can help impart a variety of skills, including increased self-esteem, a healthier body image, and stronger performance abilities of future Tony Award winners while ensuring inspirational fodder for acceptance speeches.
