Groups of approximately 15 foodies traipse around the diverse culinary haunts of Austin, sampling a treasure trove of morsels during each three-hour food tour. Austin Eats’ original gastronomical jaunt, the South Congress food tour, leads participants toward some of Austin’s more eclectic bites, including shrimp and grits or classics such as New York–style pizza and seasonal specials. The East Austin Electric Bicycle Food Tour wends through the East Side’s bevy of Brazilian, African, and Japanese cuisines, and the Austin Van Food Tour corrals participants in an air-conditioned van as they hit up five–seven eateries throughout the city. Click on the desired tour to see the schedule and itinerary. Tour-goers can be accommodated according to most dietary needs.

Austin Eats Food Tours

Local residents and Austin Eats Food Tours founders Andy and Lindsey pluck inspiration from their city’s abundant and encyclopedic assortment of cuisine, sharing their finds with locals and visitors. As they lead participants through the city in search of regional and international bites, they regale them with Austin history, such as how it became the capital city of Texas and why Austin-style pizza is shaped like a guitar.
