What You'll Get
Massages quickly defuse tension, much like the moment when the bad cop turns out to be the good cop and the good cop turns out to be a great cop. Surrender to this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $45 for a 50-minute sports massage with 10-minute stretching (a $90 value)
- $55 for a 60-minute craniosacral massage (a $110 value)
- $59 for a one-year wellness membership with a 60-minute massage (a $120 value)
During a sports massage, therapists mix trigger-point therapy and Swedish-style kneads to target sore or injured tissue. The treatment works with stretches to reduce pain and enhance mobility. A craniosacral massage focuses on the nervous system with more gentle bodywork, helping to combat stiffness and headaches.
Alternatively, a one-year membership entitles you to discounts on services: 10% off during peak hours (weekdays after 5 p.m., all day on weekends), and 20% off at other times. You can collect reward points by performing various actions, such as signing up for appointments or following AVA wellness on Twitter. These reward points are then exchangeable for treatments.
The Fine Print
Promotional value expires 360 days after purchase. Amount paid never expires. Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as a gift. Valid only for option purchased. Reservation required. Extra $20 fee if more than 15 minutes late to appointment or no call/no show. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services.
About AVA Wellness
Owner and lead therapist Vernell Alexander built AVA wellness to realize a dream she first had in massage school. Today, Alexander spends her days at AVA Wellness helping people feel better. The center recently moved locations and is now inside of SWEAT fitness. The new fitness center features an Asian-themed decorative style and is dimly lit by candles and salt rock lamps. Alexander specializes in massaging away injuries caused by demanding physical activities such as playing sports, dancing, or fleeing from Cujo in nightmares. She also has extensive training in reflexology and prenatal therapy, and has developed a line of antioxidant-rich body products that deeply hydrate the skin during spa packages.
