Q:

I have a fair complexion and sunburn easily. I have some sun damage spots as well as some post-acne spots on my face I would like removed. Am I a candidate? If so, I am in my early 30's, do you think one treatment will work? I also have brown spots on my hands. Would treatment cover both hands?

Katie W.  asked on  Sep 27, 2012

A:

Hey Katie, You are actually a perfect candidate for this laser procedure. It is the darker complexion that we really have to worry about. In order for you to achieve the best results, you really need 3 treatments. We have the ability to tell the laser which pigmentation (color) to target. So one treatment, we may target the sun damage and the other treatment, we could target your red (acne) spots. I hope this makes sense. Q:

Good day. I am really interested in purchasing the three treatments but I do have olive skin..am I eligible? Thank you..cristina

Cristina  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

We can treat olive skin with the Limelight procedure however, it depends on what kind of olive skin you have. We grade it on what is called a Fitzpatrick skin type. Here is the link below to check what type you have. If it is 4, 5 or 6, Limelight probably wouldn't be for you. Hope this helps. http://www.evolutiontattooremoval.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/fitzpatrick_6001.jpg Kate Gassaway, RN, MSN, APRN, BC

Q:

Will this work on Asians?

James Von B.  asked on  Sep 26, 2012

A:

Hello James, Unfortunately it doesn't work on on darker skin and we have to be careful when dealing with middle eastern or asian skin because Limelight is light base and could cause you to burn. We have other options however at our clinic. www.solutionsmedicalcenter.com

Q:

Hi, will this treatment work on African American skin? I have some very old post acne dark spots I'm looking to get rid of. I'm about medium to dark brown in complexion. If I can benefit from this treatment what are the effects after 1 treatment as far as the percentage in reduction in the dark marks? Thanks!

Tracy P.  asked on  Sep 25, 2012

A:

Hey Tracy, Unfortunatey it will not because of the light base, however we do have several other procedures that would help! Check out or website at www.solutionsmedicalcenter.com Thanks, Kate Gassaway, RN, MSN, APRN, BC

Q:

Hello. I have brown spots/small veins on both sides of my neck. I would also like to treat my neck in addition to my face. What would the cost be with this special to include the sides of neck?

Daphne P.  asked on  Sep 25, 2012

A:

Hello Daphne, The Limelight treatment does help with the spots and veins on the sides of your neck. We would do a full neck treatment so it would probably be best to purchase 2 of the groupons, since the neck is the same price normally. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, let me know. Hope to see you in the clinic soon:) Kate Gassaway, RN, MSN, APRN, BC

Q:

I have some dark spots about quarter size on both sides of my jaw line. Will one treatment be enough or will I need more?

Lisa P.  asked on  Sep 25, 2012

A:

Lisa, I have been doing this Limelight procedure for over 7 years now and one treatment will definitely fade your spots but if you want them completely gone, you will need 3. Hope this answers your question and hope to see you in the clinic:) Kate Gassaway, RN, MSN, APRN, BC
