Cuban Salsa dancing is a very social activity. It is the perfect way to meet and interact with a variety of new and interesting people.
Beginner Series takes place on Mondays from 7:00-8:00pm. A new 4-week series begins the first Monday of each month.
Participants will learn the foundation movements of Cuban Salsa: Guapea, Dile Que No, Exhibela, Vacilala and Enchunfla.
No experience or partner needed for the beginner class. Classes are taught by Vito Garcia at the Eugene Flamenco Arts Center - 1670 W 11th, Eugene, OR.
About the instructor: Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Vito Garcia has been teaching Cuban Salsa in Eugene since 2010. Vito offers dance instruction for all levels at the Eugene Flamenco Arts Studio and organizes Latin dance events in the community. He is also a DJ specializing in Timba music.
