prices are a bit high, it would be helpful to have salads around $10, we could go more often even without Groupon if they had a few items that were not so pricey. We have lived nearby for 3 years and this was our first time cause we heard they were expensive.

Please refill my drink BEFORE or at least sometime close to when it gets empty.. I literally had to wait 3 or 4 times for a refill.

What You'll Get

One of Benjamin Franklin’s last theories was that taking in a good view while eating aids both in digestion and in the ability to squeeze milk out of coal. Prove him half-right with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of international fare at Back Inn Café.

Back Inn Café tempts eager palates with a menu of internationally inspired cuisine that changes seasonally to ensure ripe produce and fresh ingredients. The eatery's espresso-rubbed new york strip steak ($24) threatens to dethrone coffee as caffeine's preferred vehicle, and the shrimp and crispy grits ($17) updates a Southern classic with flavorful tasso ham, green onions, and red peppers inundated with spicy cream sauce. Diners can satisfy global hankerings with Asian-inspired dishes such as sesame-encrusted ahi tuna with wasabi cream and crispy wontons ($23), or fried italian eggplant accessorized with herbed goat cheese, chipotle marinara, and pine nuts ($16). Back Inn Café’s gluten-free menu showcases many of the kitchen's most succulent specialties, guaranteed not to trigger wheat allergies or haunting memories of stonewashed denim.

Housed in a refurbished Colonial Revival mansion, Back Inn Café’s dining areas include two elegant sunrooms, a library, and a terrace from which to observe disoriented salmon traveling downriver. Diners can also complement their mouthfuls with a selection of more than 100 toastable wines.

About Back Inn Café

Inside a restored Colonial Revival mansion a stone's throw from the Tennessee River, Chef William Oglesby blends American and international dishes. Classic southern recipes take on worldly flavors, such as fried green tomatoes crowned with prosciutto and herbed goat cheese and sweet potato-crusted shrimp with fennel slaw. Local ingredients star in dishes such as the New York strip steak rubbed with espresso from nearby Rembrandt's Roasting Co and flanked by truffle-infused potatoes. Chef Oglesby and his culinary team also meet unique dietary needs with many gluten-safe options. A terrace overlooking the river, two naturally lit sunrooms, and an intimate library create a romantic atmosphere wherever guests choose to dine.
