Baconpalooza goes down at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bacon comes in many forms: layered on top of burgers, baked into sumptuous pastries, and even infused into soap. Visitors to Baconpalooza know how to appreciate every aspect of the crispy cured meat, enhanced by cooking demos from celebrity chefs such as Lynn Crawford and Steph “The Grilling Gourmet” Legari. Other experts include world-class curer Michael McKenzie and Iron Chef America contender Lora Kirk. For some hands-on bacon-making, the demo kitchen is open to chefs of all ages from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and musicians Drew Nelson and Monkey Junk bring it all home as the sun sets.
