What You'll Get
Bagels aren’t the only breakfast fare available, but they are the only one that doubles as the steering wheel of a tiny bread car. It’s your kitchen and you can drive if you want to with today’s Groupon to Bagel Garden in Branchburg. Choose between the following options:
- For $7, you get $15 worth of bagels, sandwiches, baked goods, and drinks.
- For $15, you get a five-visit punch card (up to a $39.75 value). Each punch is good for one bagel, wrap, sandwich, or special.<p>
Bagel Garden’s dough slingers bake 18 to 20 types of bagels daily for a menu of sandwiches smeared with cream cheese or stuffed with meats, cheeses, and veggies. With more than a dozen spreads, patrons can blanket bagels in freshly blended flavors or pay homage to van Gogh’s masterpiece, Scalliony Morning, by daubing a blank bagel canvas with smudges of bacon, scallion, and herb cream cheese ($0.90 for a bagel; $2.10–$2.76 for a bagel and cream cheese).
The Nova bagel towers with lox, onions, tomato, and cream cheese ($7.95), and the pickle-and-chip-escorted Gigo sandwich heaps high with Boar’s Head peppercorn turkey and melted dill havarti ($5.45). Fresh-brewed mugs of gourmet flavored coffees ($1.40 for a small) nestle up to banana-nut muffins ($1.50) and raspberry crumb cakes ($2.45). After placing an order, diners can eat in or tote bagels to a different location for a quiet picnic, an office lunch, or a round of frisbee where only mouth catches are allowed.
