Bailey's Surf N Turf
For the better part of 30 years, Chef Rich O'Melia has been putting inventive spins on fresh catches. In his cozy restaurant, warmed by a fireplace and friendly locals, he stuffs native haddock with homemade crabmeat dressing and dusts scrod with seasoned crumbs before pairing it with scallops. Those scallops, in fact, are quite popular. One critic from the Cape Cod Times marveled at their buttery texture, remarking that "[seafood] does not get better than that."
Of course, Bailey's serves delicious "turf" as well. A sautéed mushroom sauce blankets center-cut Angus sirloin, and homemade barbecue sauce sweetens triple-basted baby-back ribs. Yet no matter what guests order, they can enjoy it while watching the game on one of five flat-screen TVs before jumping on the karaoke mic on Saturday nights—or while sitting quietly at their table, because that's okay too.
