Choose from Three Options

  • $49 for 10 Melt Method or Melt Strength classes (up to a $200 value)
  • $69 for 15 Melt Method or Melt Strength classes (up to a $300 value)
  • $89 for 20 Melt Method or Melt Strength classes (up to a $400 value)

Melt classes work to hydrate connective tissue and free it of stress and tension accumulated from every day life. By hydrating the tissue, Melt aids optimal function of joints, muscles, nerves, and organs, which can lead to improved flexibility and mobility, posture, and well-being. Melt Strength classes focus on the shoulder girdle and pelvic girdle, using provided resistance bands and foam rollers to improve core stability.

Melt fights the effects of aging on the body, making it an ideal exercise for those older than 40, though younger athletes and those with injuries can benefit equally well from the soothing movements. Balance recommends that customers use their first session to take an intro class. See a class schedule here.

Kerrie Bodendorf, the face behind Balance, has always been a fitness enthusiast, whether running in a 5K, achieving her CrossFit certification, or working out at the YMCA. Despite her healthy living, she noticed that she always had chronic pain in her wrists, shoulder, lower back, and neck. Eager to alleviate the pain, Kerrie tried working out with the Melt Method in her home, and soon found herself in New York studying with Sue Hitzman, the creator of the Melt Method.

After using Melt to reduce her own pain, Kerrie started sharing it with others at Balance via intro workshops, classes, and private sessions. Like screaming advice at a mirror, the sessions emulate manual therapy, using foam rollers and rubber balls to activate bones and tissue with precision point compression and other techniques. The techniques help hydrate connective tissue and free it of built-up stress, which can lead to improvements in mobility and decreased pain.

It is lots of fun dancing around. There seems to be a wide range of ages and weights making it less intimidating to join in. There are a lot of repeat songs making it easy to remember the steps. Is says Balance but it's actually for Dance Fitness Classes by Kerrie Bodendorf 22 Cherry Street Westfield, MA 01085
