What You'll Get
Muscle knots form when traumatized tissues cling together in tight-knit support groups or gossipy crocheting circles. Break up muscle cliques with today's Groupon: for $99, you get three 60-minute relaxation, deep-tissue, or sports massages at Balanced Body Integrated Wellness (up to a $270 value).
The licensed massage therapists at Balanced Body Integrated Wellness heal injuries and soothe stress with three styles of one-hour massages. Swedish-style relaxation massages help release general tension through light strokes and gentle kneading (an $80 value), and deep-tissue treatments use heavier pressure and dramatic readings of Billy Joel songs to reach beneath the surface layers, targeting internal scar tissue, chronic pains, and overused muscles (a $90 value). Sports massages aim to help athletes increase range of motion with deep-tissue work customized for their sport (a $90 value), helping enhance performance more effectively than a pair of steroid-infused PF Flyers.

About Balanced Body Integrated Wellness
As the founder and director of Balanced Body Integrated Wellness, Dr. Jee H. Kim is both a practicing professional and a perpetual student. He constantly seeks out new information about his fields of expertise—chiropractic and acupuncture—in continuing-education courses. He then incorporates this information in treatments that draw partly from Western chiropractic medicine and physiotherapy and partly from holistic Eastern therapies.
Dr. Kim shares his peaceful studio with a massage therapist and a cadre of yoga instructors. This team works with him to restore balance to muscles and energy fields through therapeutic kneading, graceful postures, and precarious tightropes.
