Q:

Can the $95 class fore 2 be schedule for just one? Can I schedule a more convenient time than what is listed?

Hollis W.  asked on  Nov 11, 2012

A:

Hollis: Not sure what you are asking.... are you asking if you can schedule a private lesson for two people? If this is what you are asking, the answer is no... not with this Groupon deal. The Groupon deal for the Photo Essentials class is specifically for a group class called Photo Essentials. You can have both people come to the same Photo Essentials class though, if that's what you are asking. The dates and times listed on the calendar are the only dates and times for this particular class. It is often held up to 3 times per week.

A:

While you can have both people come to the same Photo Essentials class, you also have one person attend one date, and the other person attend on another date.

Q:

I have a Nikon J1 camera. Is this class appropriate?

Jan  asked on  Nov 10, 2012

A:

Jan: The Nikon J1 is one of the new mirrorless hybrid cameras. While not technically a DSLR camera, it has many of the same features as a DSLR. But a DSLR has many of the most commonly used controls easily accessible with buttons whereas the smaller mirrorless hybrids have these features in the menus of the camera. Because of this, you may find that you cannot access these features quickly during class. So, we ask that those with this type of camera come in a little more prepared by finding how to get to the shutter speed, aperture and ISO controls in the menu of the camera before coming into class. This would help speed you up when we do the exercises in class. If you can do this first, then you are very welcome to take the DSLR Photo Essentials class along with the others who have actual DSLR cameras. Hope to see you in class!

Q:

how many individuals do you allow per class. just wondering if there truly will be time to address one on one questions about my particular camera if needed. thank you.

Christine B.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Christine: It varies per class, depending on the day. But we will typically have anywhere from 6 students to 24 students per class. Questions are always answered if you have one, so no worries that you can't ask something. Saturday classes are usually the most filled classes. Weekday classes usually have less people. Hope this helps.

Q:

Is this offer only for the Essentials Class or can you choose the advanced instead?

Bud L.  asked on  Nov 8, 2012

A:

Bud: The Groupon deal is for the Photo Essentials class only. However, on the day that you come to the Photo Essentials class, we often give additional discounts for other classes at that time should you wish to purchase another class. But specifically, this Groupon deal is only for the Photo Essentials class for a discount price of $50. Thanks for your interest.
