Family of five from Carlsbad and did this over the holidays together. We had a blast! After reading some of the reviews, I decided to download the app (Scavego) before going to Old Town. It was easy to do and got us ready for the scavenger hunt. Our kids range between 9-19 and everyone had a really fun time exploring Old Town and answering the questions. Lunch afterwards was fantastic!

This was so fun!! I was hesitant based on some of the reviews but I'm so glad we went through with it. We've lived in San Diego for 8 years but we learned a lot about Old Town that we never knew before. We had no issues with the app or the gps but I do have an iphone. We wanted to play without using our google maps so we grabbed a paper map of old town from the info booth where they sell trolley tours. This worked great for us and it probably took about an hour to do the whole thing. When we got to Rockin' Baja Lobster, we let our server know right away that we had done the scavenger hunt and had a voucher. He got a manager to redeem our taco plate (two tacos plus rice and beans). It's not a menu item, they actually have to enter it all separately and you choose either chicken or carne asada (highly recommend the steak vs chicken). We only bought one ticket for the scavenger hunt so we only got one taco plate. Still a great deal and their salsas are soooo good! Looking forward to doing the other hunts from this company!

It was fun to follow the clues and the information was very informative. It also took us places we would not have gone on our own because we were unaware of them. The lunch was also delicious.
