Ballet 5:8, the Midwest's premier Christian ballet company, presents Out of the Dust, an evening of contemporary dance works performed at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago. The program includes And Mercy, a 2015 work from New York choreographer Preston Miller that explores themes of mercy, grace and judgment via contemporary dance movement. Artistic Director Julianna Slager's Interplay is a noisy, chaotic and passionate imagining of the inner-dialogue within the human mind. And Eden invites you to experience a visualization of the first six days of the universe, as the Creator formed each element of the solar system, shaped humankind out of the dust, breathed life into the first man and the first woman, and said that it was good.
Running time: Approximately 100 minutes, including intermissions.
