Journey through human emotions, mental states and the creation of the world with Ballet 5:8, the Midwest's premier Christian ballet company, at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance in Denver. The company's spring program, Out of the Dust, features three original works that combine the athleticism and beauty of dance in pieces that are accessible to all audiences. Ballet 5:8 rejects abstract, elitist works of art in favor of performances that touch the hearts and minds of everyday people. This program includes And Mercy, which digs deep into human emotions. The dancers wrestle with real, raw passions and invite the audience to do the same as they watch. Artistic Director Julianna Slager's Interplay pits Wisdom against Folly inside of the human mind. Their complicated dance reflects the real conflicts with which we all struggle internally. Finally, Eden is a neoclassical vision of the first six days of the universe, as the Creator formed each element of the solar system, shaped humankind out of the dust, breathed life into the first man and the first woman, and said that it was good.

The running time is about 2 hours, including two 15-minute intermissions.
