At the age of 20, ballet prodigy Ib Andersen became the youngest principal dancer in the history of the Royal Danish Ballet. Following a stint with the New York City Ballet in the 1980s, Andersen moved to Phoenix to become the artistic director at Ballet Arizona. This spring, Andersen's compositions will be performed alongside several other contemporary ballets that push the boundaries of classical dance. This program at the Orpheum Theatre is an excellent opportunity to watch the art of ballet evolving before your eyes.
