The young aspiring dancers of Solana Beach's Ballet Arte get into the holiday spirit with The Nutcracker. See students of this premiere ballet and dance training academy bring the timeless production to life on stage at the David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre in La Jolla. Clara, the valiant prince, the Sugar Plum Fairies and all the rest will whisk your family away to a magical holiday wonderland. Ballet Arte was awarded the Youth America Grand Prix's "Outstanding School Award" in 2014 and 2015. Directors Sara Viale and Erlends Zieminch are former soloists with the New York City Ballet, Zurich Ballet, Aterballetto and Ballet Internationale. The husband-and-wife team will guide their troupe of rising stars through the Land of Sweets as the sounds of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece fill the air.
