After Princess Aurora is cursed at her christening and pricks her finger on a spindle, she falls into a deep hundred-year sleep. Aided by a band of fairies, one prince must save the entire kingdom with the magical power of true love's kiss. This gorgeous spectacle is brought to stage by the Ballet Theatre of Maryland, with beautiful costumes, lush sets, and delightful dancing at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. First performed by the Russian Imperial Ballet in 1890, Tchaikovsky's The Sleeping Beauty is a heartwarming classic complete with a joyous happily ever after.
