What You'll Get
For $22, today's deal gets you two tickets to Ballet Victoria's unique performance "Ballet Victoria: Emotion in Dance" (a $44 value including HST) on Saturday, February 26 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., located at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Courtney Street.
In less than a decade, Ballet Victoria's top-quality performances and renowned dossier of artists have earned the company accolades. The open-house environment in "Ballet Victoria: Emotion in Dance" features a three-part, one-hour performance showcasing Ballet Victoria's nuanced spectrum of movement and musical styles. A portion from Act II of Tchaikovsky's opus Swan Lake highlights classical choreography, and a Leonard Cohen suite displays the troupe's vision for 21st-century dance relevancy. The show closes with a vignette from the upcoming performance of Bizet's fiery love story, Carmen. The afternoon includes exhibitions by various visual artists as well as postshow refreshments.
- Of course it’s not magic at all – it’s discipline, training, excellent choreography, fantastic dancing (and acting), delightful costumes, artful sets and lighting, and resourceful, imaginative staging: hard work that comes together to look like magic so that audiences come away absolutely delighted. – Yule Heibel's Post Studio
