The Harlem Renaissance comes to life through dance as Ballethnic Dance Company celebrates Black History Month. Singer Adam L. McKnight and his band will provide the soulful soundtrack as Ballethnic's dancers, ranging from the younger students to the pre-professional youth ensemble, perform to such songs as "Minnie the Moocher," "Sing, Sing, Sing" and more. McKnight has recorded and shared the stage with such greats as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Elton John and the Temptations. Together, this song-and-dance collaboration captures the explosion of creativity and spirit that took place across literature, music, dance and the visual arts in 1920s Harlem. You're invited to stay after the performance and dance to the music of the era.
