What You'll Get
King Louis XV was so enraptured with Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, he’d spontaneously order his court musicians to break out into the “Spring” concerto. For non-monarchs, it’s a bit more difficult to hear an orchestra perform this stunning work live. Don’t miss the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Vivaldi’s musical portrait of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Concertmaster and violinist Jonathan Carney leads the BSO through this masterwork. This all-baroque show at the Music Center at Strathmore in Washington DC will also feature selections from Handel’s Water Music and Bach’s Cantata No. 82, not to mention some of the area’s best food trucks.
