Bamboo House Asian Bistro
Sleek and stylish are desirable descriptors for a restaurant, especially one that transforms into a lounge complete with inventive cocktails and a live DJ on Friday nights. But even with its eye-catching decor—bright red chandeliers, living pictures made from moss, a space suffused with scarlet and golden light—Bamboo House Asian Bistro is more than just a pretty face, as its Asian fusion dishes prove.
Diners might start a meal with lightly battered Ban Ban shrimp tossed in a spicy cream sauce or sticky buns filled with barbecue pork, veggies, and sesame seeds. There's no shortage of interesting takes on entrees, either. Pork belly drizzled in a sweet caramel sauce accompanies seared scallops, for instance, and fried rice is served in a pineapple. Sustainably sourced sushi and sashimi are also available, as are green-tea panna cotta and chocolate mousse cake, desserts almost as decadent as a chocolate fountain filled with molten edible gold leaf.
