A bright-green food cart pulls up to a street corner, where it opens its window and surrounds passersby with the scents of freshly made hummus and warm pita bread imported from Israel. Banzo of Madison's owners, Aaron Collins and Netalee Sheinman, create this scene every day. As described in a feature by the Badger Herald, the young couple met while studying abroad in Australia. Aaron, a Wisconsin native, and Netalee, a native of Israel, draw from their multicultural backgrounds and suitcase-packing expertise to stuff pitas with classic Mediterranean morsels, such as falafel, and inventive fusions, such as philly cheesesteak. The duo uses local ingredients when possible and can also deliver their tasty eats directly to customers' homes.
