I am interested in getting invisalign for my lower teeth only but I can only do it if my insurance will pay for it. Is there a way that could happen?

Dear Marina, Thank you for contacting us about your Invisalign. To answer your question, let me break it down in parts. You say you would like to have Invisalign for you lower teeth. Upper and lower teeth interlock, when we move the teeth of one arch we need to be able to move the teeth in the opposite arch, if necessary. Invisalign makes clear liners for both arches when it's product is used. There are other clear liner products that focus on just one arch, like just your lower front teeth. These products are also available in our office. I cannot recommend one without an Ortho exam. With respect to your insurance coverage, your best bet is to call your insurance company and have them fax to you what your Ortho benefits are. Do you have adult coverage? How much in dollars do you have, commonly called your lifetime maximum. Who can you see for treatment under your plan? Any dentist or one who is signed up as a contract provider? Once you have this information you should be well equipped to analyze your options and seek the smile you dream about.
