Grown in southwestern France’s Lussac-Saint-Émilion region, this high-end Bordeaux features a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for a balanced red wine with cherry and spice flavors along with cedar notes and a well-rounded finish. Silver Medal winner at the 2016 International Eastern Wine Competition.
The Region: Lussac-St-Èmillion
Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, the region of Lussac-St-Èmillion marks where innovation meets tradition as winemakers make great efforts to push the stylistic boundaries of traditional Bordeaux Red wines. This small hillside sloping region in Bordeaux is home to small family-owned vineyards averaging 25 acres in size, producing Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.
The 2012 Vintage
- “They are medium- to full-bodied, finely textured, expressive and have good length. There’s a sweet but fresh, fruity quality to the Merlot, so even the lighter wines have attractive early-drinking appeal.” - Steven Spurrier (speaking on the 2012 vintage)
- “…I found that 2012 produced riper wines than the previous vintage, with a darker core of fruit and more flesh, so I prefer 2012 to 2011.” – Ralph Sands, K&L Wines

Thorough online descriptions accompany each wine, revealing flavor notes, the growing conditions of the grapes, and anecdotes from the elderly raisins that helped to raise them, and many bottles are sold for less than $20.
The site's team of behind-the-scenes wine guys prides itself on providing an outlet for producers to share their stories, philosophies, and experiences, as well as a resource that tasters can peruse to learn about each bottle they buy.
