Stephen Dewey's culinary career has taken him through the kitchens of many lauded establishments, but his greatest food memory has always been of his Italian mother and grandmother making homemade meatballs in their kitchen. It's the memory that ultimately led him to found his food truck, the Barone Meatball Company. Each week the truck travels around the Raleigh/Durham area, delivering a variety of meatballs and sides to hungry folk. Aside from beef, lamb, chicken, and other meaty concoctions, Barone's rotating menu may feature tuna balls for pescatarians and spinach-artichoke balls for veggie fans, as well as hearty sides such as mac and cheese and pasta salad.
