About Barre Fitness and Beyond
Barre Fitness and Beyond's founder René Giglia started dancing at the tender age of 2, and has been engaged with the art ever since. She trained at David DeMarie Dance Studio and the Royal Academy of Ballet, danced in the bandstand for American Dreams, and even appeared on Lifetime's Dance Moms show. As she grew older, though, her focus shifted from achieving flawless technique to maintaining her health and wellness. She discovered the Lotte Berk Method of barre fitness, and was instantly hooked. She became a certified teacher and then opened Barre Fitness and Beyond, where she teaches her own unique blend of dance, yoga, and Pilates in 60-minute sessions.
