What You'll Get
Wine is the perfect accoutrement for a first date, a luxurious steak dinner, or forgetting that red-meat-fueled fork incident that left your date's car scratched up. Imbibe in a safer manner with today's deal: for $89, you get a tour of Woodinville's boutique wineries from Barrel Wine Tours (a $186 value). Wine tours depart from Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle on Fridays at 12:15 p.m. and from both the Fairmont Olympic and Country Inn and Suites in Bothell on Saturdays at 11 a.m. Woodinville is located 30 minutes northeast of Seattle.
Supplying fermentation fans with sips of their favorite sippables, Barrel Wine Tours takes tour-goers deep into the viney heart of Woodinville Wine Country. The Boutique Wineries of Washington tour leads grape-blood enthusiasts through some of Woodinville's top wine purveyors, with a knowledgeable guide providing the libation lowdown at each of the tour's five stops (six stops on Saturday). Visit the barrel rooms and secret dungeons of some of Woodinville's most dedicated winemakers, where you can swig barrel samples, take a tasty seat on a wine flight, and enjoy wine offerings paired with hors d'oeuvres. Those that wish to abscond with grapey keepsakes of their tour can ship their relics via concierge service, where permitted by state law, or simply bring them home with them.
A center for western Washington winemaking, Woodinville Wine Country is home to more than 70 wineries and tasting rooms, including JM Cellars, Covington Cellars, Des Voigne Cellars, and Baer. Wineries on the tour change weekly, so check out Woodinville's winery listing for potential sip stops.

About Barrel Wine Tours
There's a revolution happening in Woodinville, Washington. There's no violence though, unless you count the stomping of grapes. Home to hundreds of boutique wineries, the region is beginning to rival Napa Valley as the United States' biggest wine producer. Woodinville sits at the same longitude as France's wine country, allowing for optimal adult-grape-juice production and the ability to wear a beret with dignity. Barrel Wine Tours, a co-op of Woodinville winemakers, takes guests throughout the community on tours of the wineries of these passionate part-time vintners. On a luxury coach, participants ride to four distilleries or wineries, and three-course lunches and wine pairings occur during each tour.
