Getting out of the house is often hampered by the fact that most houses are located inside a bigger and fancier house. Step outside of the house outside of your house with today's Groupon to the Barrie Waterfront Festival Midway at Centennial Park. The festival is open noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 29. Choose between two options:
- For $25, you get one all-day VIP Pass (a $50 value).
- For $90, you get a family VIP Pass for four people (a $180 value).
The Barrie Waterfront Festival transforms Centennial Park into a family-friendly panoply of live entertainment, carnival rides, games, and fresh fare. The festival grants free admission; the individual or family VIP pass, however, allows for unlimited rides and access to a handful of the festival's myriad fun-enhancing amenities. Miniature fairgoers can disguise their mugs at the face-painting booth or spend time testing gravity's insecure tyranny through the Waterfront Festival's inflatable amusements. Adults, meanwhile, can reward ears for listening over furnace roars by tuning into live musical acts such as the Toronto All-Star Big Band, and quirky street buskers tout their talents as living statues and magicians. The VIP pass also grants visitors a bag of popcorn, a kid's snack pack, cotton candy, and an airbrush tattoo. Families attending Saturday also receive half off ride passes for the event on Sunday.
Family Fun Fest
For three days, the Family Fun Fest comes to town, delighting children and families with 30,000 square feet of rides and activities. The indoor amusement park has it all: carnival rides, ball pits, giant slides, and inflatables. A lot of inflatables—think giant structures that feature gorillas, dinosaurs, pandas, and soccer balls. When kids need a break from bouncing, they can try their hand at carnival and arcade games, or catch Doo Doo the Clown's interactive show that not only features ample clowning, but also magic tricks.
