Basil Doc’s Bistro

7 a.m. is too early for pizza, but the kitchen at Basil Doc’s location in Crestmoor is already abuzz with activity at that hour. That’s because the Crestmoor location is now home to Basil Doc’s Bistro, the latest culinary venture from the team responsible for some of Denver’s most munchable slices. At the bistro, pizza takes the morning off, replaced by a delicious slate of breakfast burritos filled with eggs, pinto beans, and stuffings ranging from bacon and sausage to mushrooms and jalapenos. They’re joined by fresh-baked pastries and a robust selection of gourmet coffees and teas. In the afternoon, the bistro gives way to Basil Doc’s signature pizzas, which include specialty pies such as the Florentine (a combination of eggplant and spinach) and the Fargo (a white pie topped with grilled chicken, pine nuts, and green chiles).
