Though it is illegal for pranksters to shout about nonexistent fires in a theater, shrieking after an encounter with an underseat gum wad is permissible. Shout about what's on stage instead with today's Groupon: for $22, you get a performance-only admission for one adult to Battle of the Dance in Anaheim (a $45 value). Shows run Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 6:30 p.m. Featured by the Los Angeles Times, Battle of the Dance weaves Spanish Flamenco, Irish Celtic, Bollywood, and American pop into a cross-cultural spectacle of musical storytelling. Battle of the Dance begins with the tale of Spanish sailors, shipwrecked off the coast of Ireland, who fear some of their most honored traditions—namely, latin dance and not getting shipwrecked—are in danger of being compromised. What ensues is a visual fever dream of choreographed capering. After the hoofers have it out, the narrative gives way to a ventriloquist act, followed by internationally renowned acrobats, The Peres Brothers, who bring their show to the Anaheim stage. This admission is good for any seat excluding the VIP section, but is not valid for dinner.
