Horses were once considered man’s best friend, but after the invention of the dog, the horse was rebranded as man’s eccentric, oat-obsessed uncle. Take a journey with the kindest of kinsmen with today's Groupon: for $40, you get two private 30-minute riding lessons at Bay Area Equestrian Center in Pearland (a $80 value).
Bay Area Equestrian Center's experienced trainers help accelerate equine ambitions in inviting full-board riding facilities. Within its indoor arena, riders of any level can saddle up on one of 20 friendly lesson horses to learn how the accomplished equestrians tamed their ponies to gracefully trot, gallop, and deliver AOL trial CDs. This deal is for new clients only. All riders must call ahead to schedule the first lesson.
Bay Area Equestrian Center
At Bay Area Equestrian Center, riders can advance from basic lessons all the way up to horse ownership and national-level competition on the Arabian show circuit. They do so under the guidance of Lynn Almond, who founded Friendswood Riding School in 1990 and turned it into BAEC in 1995. A member of the horse community her entire life, Lynn has used her wisdom to vault students to national championships in Western, Hunter, and Sidesaddle riding styles. Today, the center's visitors can learn from Lynn and her team during private and group lessons.
