Today’s side deal gets you one ticket to see Bayou City Performing Arts' presentation of We Can’t Stop the Beat for $16 (a $31 value) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at the Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts. Redeem your Groupon on the night of the show for the best-available tier 3 seat in the mezzanine, grand tier, box, or orchestra section.
We Can’t Stop the Beat is a lively concert featuring music from all over the world. The focus, as the name coyly implies, will be on percussion, rhythmic beat, and dancing. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Houston will provide vocals, and special guests will clamber on by to help keep the drums pounding. Musical samplings include pieces by George Gershwin and The Glen Miller Band, contemporary pieces from the musical Hairspray, and more. Revel in the thrum and musical undulations in the beautiful expanse of Jones Hall, a grandly lit building with an acoustically supreme interior and a ceiling of 800 moveable hexagons.
Bayou City Performing Arts (BCPA) was originally founded in 1979 and has expanded over the years to include the Gay Men’s Chorus of Houston, Bayou City Women’s Chorus, Bayou City Chorale, and Bayou Rhythms. 2010 marks BCPA’s 31st anniversary of continuous performances.
Outsmart magazine lists Bayou City Performing Arts as one of its favorite community organizations.

It is really amazing to me to see the time, effort, and passion that the members of this organization put into their music at every concert! – james1, GreatNonprofits.com
