Nobody blows a meaner harp than Felix Cabrera, whose local legend status was recently made official when he was inducted into the New York City Blues Hall of Fame. For more than four decades, the Cuban-born Cabrera has cranked up the burners higher and higher, his roiling talent heating up clubs around the country. He has been recording since the ’70s with The Felix Cabrera Band, The Black Italians, and The A Train Blues Band and with Jimmy Vivino (of Conan fame). He has also opened for many of the greats, including James Brown, Wilson Pickett and Dr. John. But now this consummate entertainer brings his own red-hot band to Lucille’s Grill at B.B. King Blues Club.
