Blues singers come in three sizes: Small, Medium and Larger-than-Life. Rick Estrin is definitely in the third category. From his high gray pompadour down to his mirror-polished kicks, he is the personification of 100% all-natural cool, no fillers, fake-outs or false notes. Named the “brightest wiseguy in all bluesland” by DownBeat, Estrin’s way with a harmonica is second to none, playing the meanest Chicago-style harp since Little Walter. Now Estrin brings his band, The Nightcats, to New York City. Nominated for four 2015 Blues Music Awards, including Best Band, Best Harmonica, Best Guitarist and Best Entertainer, the Nightcats are on a hot streak. Feel the heat when they light up B.B. King Blues Club. Opening the show will be Selwyn Birchwood.
