Q:

What vision correction procedure is covered by only paying the $199 Groupon price? Is there any addition fees if you want the intralase all laser procedure?

Aurora S.  asked on  Feb 14, 2013

A:

When you pay the $199 for the Groupon you get $2,000 off of the regular pricing of $5,200 for BOTH eyes for IntraLASIK (all-laser LASIK) procedure, thus you would be responsible for only $3,200. Interest-free financing options are available through CareCredit up to 24 months.

Q:

I'm confused as the insurance company is paying beach eye care so that's not a discount, correct? What difference would it make as Long as beach eye care still gets their money, right?

Shaun H.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

I am unable to answer without having all of the information. Please contact the office for further details.

Q:

Is there a way to use this Groupon Deal for an enhancement/redo of both eyes? I had Lasik surgery done about 12 years ago, and my eyes have seemed to go back to the same condition as before.

Kevin O.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

The Groupon is for initial LASIK procedures only. Enhancement rates are much lower. Please call the office for more information.

A:

The Groupon deal is your best option for discount, we cannot combine the Groupon with any other discounts, including insurance.

Q:

Ok- my insurance covers $1500 towards LASIK- would I be able to make a claim, have insurance pay 1500, recieve 2000 off of my balance and then pay the rest?

Shaun H.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

We cannot combine the Groupon discount with any other discounts available. You can pay (or finance) the procedure up front using the Groupon discount and we can provide you with any necessary information needed for you to file the insurance yourself. Please bring in your information for your insurance at your consultation to discuss further.

Q:

What would keep me from being a candidate? I have myopia for years, but at 49yo i wonder if i would have problems correcting both. As of now i do not have problems with near vision. And you say the total cost for both eyes if this groupon is purchased is 3200 correct? thanks!

debra c.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

We would need to look at the full health of the eyes to determine your candidacy. Some examples of determining this could be corneal structure, medical reasons, and realistic expectations of the patient. The nearsightedness that you have helps to compensate for the ability to read up close (with glasses off). Usually, patients in their 40's and beyond will start experiencing trouble with near vision (presbyopia) when the distance vision is corrected. We can go over all of your options at your free consultation. The out-of-pocket expense for both eyes after the Groupon is $3,200.

Q:

When buying this Groupon, how much more does this cost? Thanks

Michael C.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

The procedure costs $5,200 for both eyes before the discount. The $2,000 comes off of that fee making your out-of-pocket expense $3,200.

Q:

It says a limit of one per person, but if I were to buy one and somebody else were to buy me one as a gift, could I use both to cover both eyes?

Steve G.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

No, it is strictly a limit of 1 redemption per person as stated in the fine print. If you do buy 1 and have 1 also gifted to you, then you would need to gift 1 of them to someone else or get 1 refunded from Groupon customer service. Thanks!

Q:

You stated a total of $5200 for both eyes. Is that cost before or after the Groupon is applied?

Erin S.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

That is the cost before the Groupon is applied. So, in that case it would be $3,200 for both eyes. Thanks!
