Beads on the Ave - Delray Beach: Intro to Beading, Leather-Wrap Bracelet, or Macramé Slide Bracelet-Making Class at Beads on the Ave (Up to 58% Off)

Handmade jewelry has come a long way from its earliest failed incarnations of popcorn strings and daisy chains, both of which proved too great for the willpower of kleptomaniac nesting birds. Assemble a more permanent adornment with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

 • $17 for a Intro to Beading class including $15 worth of supplies ($40 Value)
 • $22 for a Leather or Slide Bracelet-Making class including $15 worth of supplies ($45 Value)

During Intro to Beading classes, students immerse themselves in the fundamentals of jewelry making, learning how to design and assemble pieces and properly use tools. Seasoned beaders demystify niche techniques during 2.5-hour classes with all supplies included. During a leather-wrap bracelet class, students entwine beads with vivid leathers to fashion a wearable belt for the wrist. Alternatively, macramé slide bracelets weave cords through and around beads with dangling beads or charms and an adjustable clasp. Check the schedule for dates and times.

Beads on the Ave

Beads on the Ave combines an impressive selection of gewgaws with expert instruction from the likes of Tonia Turner, affectionately known as "The Bead Doctor." Inside the shop, Swarovski pendants, semiprecious and precious stones, and glittering pieces from local artists glimmer as light floods through them from the all-glass storefront. In the spacious back room, instructors lead up to 25 students through a range of hands-on classes, teaching them how to create stunning works of wearable art as they sip on brought-from-home libations. The teacher provides supplies appropriate for each class, though they may charge extra for specialty beads, more expensive materials, or top-secret access codes to the White House's ruby vault.

I had an Amazing experience, and learned a lot. I had the pleasure of being taught by Ingrid. She was very knowledgeable, and very courteous. Definitely will be going there often to learn the different types of beading techniques. They also had a large variety of items that ranges in prices, but are very feasible.
