Good stories and history about the places we passed.

We had such a fun day! The captain and his 1st mate were very informative and entertaining as well! Even the lunch was pretty tasty for a brown bag special. I would definitely recommend this adventure!

Captain Jim is awesome! He knew the river so well and stopped at least 5 times at the river's edge to eat (sack lunch provided was perfect), explore historical sights, and swim! The weather was perfect and we saw families of mountain goats and also a very close up the most handsome, & full-curled horns on a mountain goat ram that came down from top of canyon & drink from river. While we were staring at him, I swear he was showing off his muscles on purpose as he also stared at us when he perched on large boulders after jumping down & across from each ledge to ledge! The white sandy beach was tropical, water was sooo comfortable - perfect for swimming. Yes, the boat ride was long, but it was very relaxing and beautiful. Captain Jim did add excitement when he did a 360 on the wide part of the river! SO FUN! A huge thank you to Captain Jim for making the whole trip very memorable! Yes, I would do this again (on another Groupon special!).
