About Beau Visage Photography

Sarah Williamson describes herself as a "life photographer." She snaps away as teenagers graduate high school and couples waltz across the dance floor for the first time after saying “I do.” Her keen eye also creates frame-worthy images for those special moments people overlook, from a sleeping baby celebrating her first Christmas to a couple in the first days of their engagement. Sarah's photography sessions, which last up to 90 minutes, are held at a location of the client’s choosing, and can be anywhere from your backyard to your new bomb shelter.

I bought this Groupon before Christmas and i still have not had the chance to use it and it is now expired. I had an extremely hard time getting a hold of the Lady and when i did we had short conversations and i would never get a confirmed time to meet and take the pictures. Not very happy with this at all. I have numerous texts from when we did communicate that she never made confirmation of the days or times that i would ask for.

I purchased this for a friend to get maternity photos done. The photographer was not communicative and when they finally connected to schedule the photographer changed the location of the shoot the night before, making redemption logistically impossible and my friend incredibly uncomfortable.

Not clear in communication or expectations. Seems to always have to have the last "say" and makes incorrect assumptions about clients. Promises to deliver with unachievable dates that she sets up herself (she said she'd have a few sneak peeks by no later than Saturday that weekend right after our shoot). She ultimately got to a few for me a week later with a strong warning that she requires 2 weeks to do her work. At 2 weeks, nothing else was done and she overlooked/forgot about/got busy with my inquiry on my photos. Claims that I was adamant about a cloudy day of photo shoot when I was the one inquiring if we should reschedule (I have a string of facebook messages that support this). Brought along a high-maintenance child who required her full attention who also threw sand at our family during the shoot, TWICE. Accused me of not buying a Groupon because she has been deceived by others (she didn't ask for it until I was inquiring of our photos, and I assumed she had access to these--I don't have a clue how Groupon manages these vouchers as some businesses ask for it right away, some later, and some not at all). She has given us full rights to the pictures from the shoot as an apology but the feeling I am left with is that I do not even want to try to use her again. It appears to me that she seems to use many excuses for needing more time. I like working with people who can tell me upfront and honestly what is going on or when I can expect things, rather than being strung along and then told everything I did as her client, was wrong. I have a child with high needs and much attention as well, so I am the first person to ask for empathy. She even compares herself to other photographers --that somehow she is superior to their standard 3 weeks' promise but my experience with photographers in family photo sessions (about 20 to date in the last 10 years!) is that they keep to their initial word. I recall one girl who asked if she could have another week and it was fine (her grandpa passed away). I have had photographers get the proofs done in as quick as 2 days and others 3 weeks (fewer) with the average around 2 weeks. I did not want to leave a bad review and wanted to not leave a review at all but I do not like feeling that I am at fault and that I did so many things wrong. I expect any photographer to be the professional and take the lead. Instead, we were the ones guiding where to go onsite and how to pose and even when, with this photographer. If she wanted to cancel our photo shoot so badly on the day of the clouds, why did she scope out the site and say it was ok to shoot?
