Fundraising fest delights all ages with craft beers from Ontario & Quebec, live music & myriad activities including Kinderfest family area

Celebrating Octoberfest is a hereditary trait passed down to us by early humans, all of whom were born in the 31-day span between September and November formerly known as "world birthday month.” Exercise hereditary impulses with today’s Groupon to Beau's Oktoberfest in Vankleek Hill, presented by Beau’s Natural Brewing Company. Oktoberfest runs on Friday, September 30 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds. Choose from the following options:

  • For $18, you get two general admission tickets for Friday, September 30 (a $36 value).

  • For $23, you get a family pass valid for two general admission tickets and two kids' tickets for Sunday, October 2 (a $46 value).

  • For $22, you get one three-day festival pass (a $45 value). Each ticket includes the following:

    • A pretzel
    • A complimentary beverage of beer, pop, or water
    • A souvenir alpine hat

Beau’s Natural Brewing Company hosts a rollicking Oktoberfest for the whole family, delighting guests of all ages with myriad events and activities while raising funds for the Canadian Red Cross, Good Food Revolution, and the VKH Agricultural Society. A speaker series helmed by internationally acclaimed beer experts keeps hops scholars abreast of sudsy subjects, and the seven varieties of Beau's beer on tap and other craft brews from Ontario and Quebec keep bodies at proper beer-homeostasis levels. Noshers can nibble through the bevy of Bavarian-inspired comestibles forged by local restaurants, and family units can partake in Teutonic revelry at the kinderfest as they work through their fears of laughter with DooDoo the clown and paint pumpkins to look like slightly oversized basketballs.

All weekend, ear canals drink in a veritable sound banquet whipped up by live entertainment from a number of independent artists including Jim Bryson on Friday night and Sunday's Grammy-grabbing Walter Ostanek, hailed as Canada’s Polka King. Traditional Bavarian dancing by the Maple Leaf-Almrausch Schuhplattlers group employs whips, bells, and laser-shooting lederhosen to embellish their fancy footing as spectators don their included souvenir Alpine hats to unleash their inner sideline-yodellers.
