The beautifying effect of lasers was discovered when laser-tag participants exited the arena with tighter, glowing faces. Enjoy image-enhancing technology with today's Groupon: for $599, you get a full fractional face resurfacing at Beautiful Laser Center in Galveston (a $1,800 value).
Beautiful Laser Center's C02 lasers penetrate facial skin to induce the growth of new cells, which can leave faces looking more useful and less marked by sun spots and sagging skin. Before the treatment, a topical anesthetic soothes soon-to-be lasered areas, settling in over the course of an hour to reduce sensitivity to the laser and attract anesthetic-addicted flocks of low-flying seagulls. Once faces have been comfortably numbed, a laser sweeps over the face, using targeted heat in an attempt to stimulate collagen and elastin production. After an initial swollen and red period that can last up to a week, faces emerge blinking in wonder at the reduction of sun spots, the tightening of loose skin, and the lessened appearance of scars and stretch marks that may occur after four months. Results will be noticed after one treatment, but for best results, three to five treatments and regular grandmotherly pinches should be administered.
Beautiful Laser Center
For years, Beautiful Laser Center's certified laser specialist Mikayla Wilson has helped thousands of clients fix their skincare woes with advanced laser treatments. And unlike some laser technicians, she relies on a variety of machines to do so.
During laser hair-removal treatments, she trains a Cynosure Apogee Elite Alexandrite laser onto fair skin and switches to an ND:Yag laser when dealing with pigmented skin types. During tattoo removal treatments, she breaks up ink into tiny particles with a Ruby laser. And to fight wrinkles and improve overall skin tone, Mikayla removes 35%–80% of the top layer of skin using a Matrix CO2 ablative laser.
To ensure all of these devices run smoothly, Beautiful Laser Center employs technology guru Steve Wilson. He controls the safety and functionality of the lasers and is responsible for keeping the center up to date on the latest laser treatments.
