On Saturday, April 25, celebrants gather for a margarita-tasting tour. Upon check-in (from noon to 3 p.m.), attendees receive a VIP pass that gets them eight specialty margaritas, event pictures, live entertainment, and additional food-and-drink specials. Guests make their own way at their own pace to the bars, and the march ends at 10 p.m.
The Margarita March is easy to explain, but hard to finish. The task? Celebrate summer by touring eight Philly bars, sampling the signature margarita at each one. The difficulty? On par with hiking from Guadalajara to Mexico City, the founders claim. Luckily, much like early car races, the event emphasizes the journey more than crossing the finish line. Between the mariachi bands and the new friends participants meet, there’s plenty of fun to be had along the way.
