Now that it’s a 2009, you’ve probably made resolutions to lose weight, touch your toes, be happier in general, extend your life expectancy, and/or harmonize your spine with your soul. Luckily, yoga will bring you all of these! But when it comes to yoga instruction, don’t try it at home….it’s best left to the professionals. Moksha Yoga does yoga instruction real good, and today on Groupon they’re offering 5 beginner level classes, normally valued at $60, for just $42. Check out the schedules for the beginner classes and all other classes.
Moksha Yoga Center is the premier yoga studio of Chicago. They have a broad mastery of the ancient practice and excel in teaching multiple disciplines. Moksha’s Yelp page has the highest average ranking (4.5 out of 5 stars) of any Chicago yoga studio with at least 10 reviews on Yelp. Listen to some of the rave reviews:
“This is the all-around best yoga studio in the city. I go to other studios occasionally, but this is where I’ve been practicing consistently since 2001.“
“I don’t even live near this studio anymore, but I still bike the 5+ miles down there to take classes. It’s that good.“
“This place is the creme de la creme of yoga studios in town.“
You can redeem your classes at either of their 2 locations: Riverwest and Lakeview. And once you’re there, take advantage of Moksha’s full variety of offerings, including classes, workshops, teacher training, bodywork, kirtan, and our unique boutique fully stocked with props, books, and apparel.
This is great news for many of us who have been frugally been avoiding professional instruction and resorting to terrible bootleg yoga instructional videos. This instructional video, for example, was created by Andrew Mason, founder of Groupon and The Point. Andrew is not a licensed yoga instructor and therefore this instruction is not only illegal, it’s highly dangerous to your health and likely to cause an injury. He distributes his self-made bootlegs to an underground ring of black market DVD merchants and turns a profit. It’s shameful. Nobody in our office even knew about it until I bought this one off a street gypsy selling illegal copies of The Dark Knight while I was on vacation in Malaysia. Then I threw out my back mimicking Andrew’s terrible form.
Luckily, someone has finally undercut the street yoga DVD peddlers. So you can rest assured that the $43 I paid for this unsafe video is not the best deal in town on yoga instruction, for today for just $42 you can get instruction from the trained pros at Moksha Yoga.
Your first 4 classes will be beginner level, and your 5th and final class can be redeemed for an advanced session. The first class must be scheduled within 90 days of purchasing this Groupon, and then you have an additional 60 days after your first class to use up the rest of your classes. Got all that? Good. Now get your Groupon.
