Mood rings offer convenient colour-coded glimpses into our emotional states: red indicates stress, yellow suggests blinding rage, and green means rich in vitamins, cellulose, and fibre. Learn to make mood-enhancing edibles with today’s Groupon to BeLive Raw Food. Choose between the following options:
- For $59, you get a raw food cooking class for two (a $180 value).
- For $39, you get a raw food cooking class for one (a $90 value).
Classes are held every Saturday from September 10 through December 17 at Marbles Casual Fine Dining. Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Contributing her expertise to the Halogen television network and the upcoming Canadian National Exhibition, chef Renee Shaidle specializes in raw food, pillaging local grocers for seasonal organic produce to create dishes intended to revitalize the body. In each 2.5-hour class, Renee teaches all walks of eaters how to coax flavours and juicy gossip from unprocessed plant foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts, and sea vegetables. Classes vary in topic, and food items are never heated past 118 degrees Fahrenheit so that natural enzymes and nutrients remain intact. Shaidle eschews intentions to convert students to raw foodism but rather strives to open awareness about the impact raw foods can have on any diet or plant-based comedy routine. For every Groupon sold, BeLive will donate $5 to Anselma House, a local Women's Crisis Services emergency residential shelter housing 20 beds for abused women.
