Celebrate the season at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with one of the 20th century's landmark choral works. The women of acclaimed Chicago a cappella group Bella Voce, led by Artistic Director Andrew Lewis. join guest harpist Alison Attar for Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols in its original version, written for a three-part women's chorus, vocal soloists and harp. Britten wrote A Ceremony of Carols in 1942, setting short poems and Medieval carols to music. Founded in 1982, Bella Voce has earned a reputation as one of the nation's leading interpreters of the choral repertoire, earning awards for their brilliant singing and adventurous programs.
